Riot Games has announced significant nerfs for the newly-released Teamfight Fuse in 2XKO, following player feedback and concerns over the mechanic's power level. The developers aim to balance the game by adjusting the Teamfight Fuse's mechanics, making it more interactive and strategic for both attackers and defenders.
The changes include altering the meter requirement and duration of the Teamfight Fuse. Initially, it required one bar for seven seconds, but the update will introduce a new system where two bars grant five seconds, four bars offer ten seconds, and six bars provide a fifteen-second window. This adjustment aims to control the Fuse's power and encourage better coordination and strategic use.
Additionally, the recovery time for activation has been increased from five frames to twelve frames, reducing the viability of using Teamfight defensively into parries. This change addresses the high-risk, low-reward nature of counterplay in high-level matches.
Defensive options have also been nerfed, as assist characters can no longer block or parry opponent Break activations. Successful parries now end the Fuse immediately, and hitting a Teamfight pair results in a 2.5 times faster Fuse duration reduction. These adjustments aim to create a more balanced and engaging gameplay experience.
The updates are set to be implemented in the 1.2.3 patch, scheduled for release on June 9. Riot Games' decision to address the concerns of top players and tournament organizers highlights their commitment to creating a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for the 2XKO community.
